Delhi Metro Rail Card 2025 and Misc
I finally got to hear back from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation after a month when I initially wrote to them about the status of Tourist Card Fares that they offer, I was at that time planning to use the entire metro system within a day and set a record while doing so, previous attempts had failed to incorporate, I think, one of Delhi's most important features that indeed most people neglect, it is still a city with multiple modes of transit, there is a suburban railway (that I am yet to ride), the bus system, the MEMUs that cover further out areas, and inter state bus services.
I have mostly put this on the back burner as I wait for the delayed RRTS/Namo Bharat/Rapid X/Overgrown Metro/wannabe London overground/ we have RER at home/What if Indian railways. But we build it all over again from scratch? To complete as it would add yet another mode to this trip, I am also working on drawing my own map which I mostly talk about in the XMPP Railway yard [1] and the XMPP Public Transit channel I operate [2], Yes, XMPP has taken over my conversations needs.
Anyway as the DMRC, DTC, IR, DIMTS, and all other acronym soup- wait I can go on, GMCBL, DoT, NMRC, HMRTCL, RMGL (Defunct), UPSRTC, among others- (now I am done), don't care to integrate and actually create multi modal transit, all these systems use their own fare systems and offer no transfers, I do not wish to give the DMRC any more money than they already leech off of me, as such I had wished to know all parts of the system that one can cover with this tourist card, and how many of my never going to exist spawns I would be offering to the blood gods who shall remake Delhi into a much more expensive and shittier place to be in.
Here is their response after a whole month of silence:
Dear Madam/Sir,

Assuring our best services to you. Thanking you, With Regards Public Complaint Officer DMRC
(I redid the formatting but the rest of it is originally as it came to me) [also also, the NIC (I mean first of all, the NIC hosts the mailing server for the DMRC? I assumed they would have also done that in house) names their mail servers "vastu" lmfao , yes I just lmfao on my blog, but LMFAO, I got my mail from "vastu119.nic.in", for those not local to asia/kolkata, Vastu is essentially the South Asian / Hindu (I am not sure actually which one, I do not care to look it up) Feng shui, as I remember fondly, my mother shouting at me through my phone "NO YOU CANNOT PLACE YOUR BED ON THAT SIDE OF THE ROOM FACING THERE, IT IS NOT CORRECT FOR THE VASTU", I think that would sum up my religious beliefs, but yes.
I really wish to rant more about public transit stuff but it is 0443 as I write this, and I think sleep is finally near me.
