"Yuvaan" - My college's fest and organising a big event
I had previously discarded a blog post I was about to make about an event I attended now last year at my college, mostly because of my privacy concerns.
I have now for a class of mine being pushed to make a blog post regarding my college's annual festival, a big tradition within our university, and every other college town from what I understand.
I personally have been deeply involved with my college's Theatre society, last year I spent most of my running around and ensuring the event went smoothly, this year I did essentially the same :)
The college sets aside 3 days for the festival, but as a theatre society we usually only limit ourselves to one, as we are not the only theatre society and thus share time with out Non-English "counterpart".
One difference between the two years was the level of running around, I would like to believe, that this year not much less than helping organise the event, I was involved with the organisation, though I still felt that I had done less than was needed of me, and my peers helped me ensure the event happened regardless of however it did, due to uncontrollable factors.
Our even landed on the second day of the festival, as such most of the first day of the fest was spent running around preparing for the next day's activities, I personally didn't get to spend much time partaking in activities.
And the same essentially followed for the next day. With most of it being cramped with being a runner and ensuring the day happened mostly seamlessly, this day took the most out of me of course I had spent the entire day running around the campus and making sure nothing fragile could come close to anything akin to falling apart.
After an exhausting day of working, I confined myself to my bed on the third day, taking it as my break and leaving myself to my way too warm for the weather apartment.
That sums up my experience with the actual fest, without delving into details on my actual event :P, I had to spend way too long fighting the blog to actually write anything of note, but hopefully now that I have this set up, I will be able to write out some of the things on my minds soon <3.
Signing off for now,
Suck up to,
A big corporate guy,
And if you play it real well,
Well then you're set for your life,
And when it comes to that time,
When you're sick of their drive,
I'll provide the cutlery,
If you provide the knife,
Oops!
